Notarization Requirements

The Following Requirements will help you have a successful notarization and prevent loss of money and time:

Physical Presence and Witnesses

Signer must be present.
Witnesses must be present.
Witness must be at least 18 years old.
Witness and Signer must have proper identification.
State of Florida requires at least two witnesses for Wills, Quitclaim Deeds, and Power of Attorney Notarizations.
Witnesses must not have any financial interest in the notarization and are not named in the document (Disinterested Witnesses).

Identification

Florida Drivers License or ID card- DL cannot be expired.
U.S Passport.
Foreign Passport (must be stamped by the U.S Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services).
Military ID.
Veteran Health ID Card.
Inmate ID card ( issued on or after January, 1, 1991).

Signer and Complete Documents

Signer must comprehend documents.
If signer appears disoriented, or under the influence of drugs or medication, the Notary will refuse to continue the signing.
Documents must be complete, with no blank lines, or space for information to be added later.
Exception: Documents with blank spaces left behind will only be reserved for "in office use".

Foreign Language

Documents can be in a different language, but there must be a direct line of communication between the signer and the Notary for a successful notarization to occur.

Qualifications of a Signature

Signers that cannot sign their name due to a physical disability or for any other reason may sign via "Signature By Mark".
This document will be signed with the Notary and two other Witnesses.

Verify that the information in your documents are correct.
Print your documents ahead of time.
Be prepared with your ID and documents to facilitate a successful notarization.

Mobile Service Fee

- Riverview/Gibsonton: $25

- Hillsborough County: $30-$60

- Surrounding Counties: $45-$60

Notary Fees

- Acknowledgments: $10 per stamp

- Jurat: $10 per stamp

- Certified Copies: $10 per copy

- VIN Verification: $20

*Car must be in the presence of the Notary Public in order to verify the VIN.

- Oaths and Affirmations: $10 per person

- Safe Deposit Box Inventory: $25
